make him buy it

Make Him Buy It

I am stuck between my anger

and all the laughs I didn’t use

tried to make sense of this madness

but I only seem to lose.

To forget I can’t think of

and all I ever want is you

think of this and of me fondly

when there's nowhere you belong

and forever has no meaning

if I can’t live it with you.

To all the tears that dried up in days

all I ever hear it’s you

catch me senseless

on the swing

that saw you kneeling down to me

another lover I have found

who treats me right and loves me dear

but my eyes only see yours

and one day I know I’ll trip

cut him deep and watch him bleed

when this tongue forgets his name

and call right back for you.

I am stuck with things so senseless

all the words I didn’t use

had I said yes before you’d gone

something else I’d call myself

but this time there is no cure

I have lost my chance at most

and forever I won’t tell you

I’ll forever lie to him

tell him oh I love you dearly

don’t even know how much it’s true.

I have found a man to hold

but he doesn’t feel like you.
